How long can you breathe with an OXSEA mini tank?

Up to 8 minutes with a 0.5 L tank (OX500 and OX500Plus), around 15 minutes with the 1 L OX1000. These figures apply near the surface, breathing calmly. Deeper, with effort or in cold water, expect less.

How do you refill the tank?

Three ways. The manual pump, about 20 minutes for 0.5 L, no electricity needed (not suitable for the OX1000). The 12 V / 220 V mini compressor, about 12 minutes for 0.5 L and 20 minutes for 1 L. The DIN or yoke transfer station from a dive cylinder, about one minute.

Do I need a certification or training to use it?

No regulation we know of restricts the purchase to certified divers. Training is still recommended: the French ministry for the Sea advises learning in a club with instructors. Our videos explain the gear; they do not replace supervised instruction. The basic rule: breathe continuously and never hold your breath while ascending.

What is the difference between OX500, OX500Plus and OX1000?

The OX500 (0.5 L) is held in the mouth. The OX500Plus has the same volume but adds a harness, an external regulator and an external gauge: it is worn in the mouth or on the back, hands free, and takes the OXAIR mask. The OX1000 (1 L) is worn on the back and doubles the air time; the manual pump cannot fill it.

Does the OXAIR mask fit every tank?

No. It connects to the OX500Plus and the OX1000, never to the OX500. It is not sold on its own: you will find it in the packs that include it.

Where do you ship, and for how much?

To the whole European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Monaco, the United States and Canada. Costs and estimated delivery are shown at checkout, based on the country and the parcel weight. For North America, local duties and taxes are paid by the recipient unless stated otherwise.

How do I track my order?

You get a receipt by email when you pay, then an email with the tracking number when the parcel ships. If you hear nothing, write to contact@oxsea.com with your order number.

Can I return a product?

Yes, within 30 days of delivery, for a complete product in its original packaging. Write to us first: we will tell you how to proceed. The detailed conditions are in our terms of sale.

How long is the warranty?

OXSEA products carry a 24-month warranty against material and manufacturing defects, for the original buyer. Normal wear, lack of maintenance and damage from misuse are not covered.

Can I take the tank on a plane?

Yes, on three conditions: tank completely empty, head (regulator) open or removed, tank declared at check-in. Some airlines require the head fully separated from the body. Check their policy before booking.

How do I look after the tank?

Rinse with fresh water after each outing, dry with the head open, check the seals and the burst disc visually, replace the pump or compressor filters as needed. Each step has its video in OXSEA School.

Is the air in my refill clean?

It is if you refill outdoors, away from any exhaust, with filters in good condition. An unusual smell or taste means stop. Carbon monoxide has no smell: where you place the air intake is your first protection.

Can I spearfish with a mini tank?

No. In France, recreational spearfishing with breathing apparatus, so with a tank, is forbidden. Keep the mini tank for boat maintenance, discovery and observation.

A product is out of stock, when is it back?

The stock shown is real. On the product page, the "Notify me" button opens a pre-filled email: we write to you as soon as it is back in stock.

How do I pay, and in which currency?

By card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, through Stripe secure checkout. Prices are shown in euros including VAT; the currency selector gives an indicative conversion, the charge is made in euros.
