Two ways to use it: in the mouth, like the OX500, or on your back, hands free, with the regulator on a hose. The external gauge reads at a glance during the dive.

Up to 8 minutes underwater, depending on your breathing, the depth and the effort. Refill with the manual pump, the mini compressor or from a dive cylinder. Works with the OXAIR mask.

What for: working under the hull hands free, dealing with the propeller or the mooring, swimming with the OXAIR mask while snorkelling. No diving certification needed, but the safety rules in our guide apply.

How long can you stay underwater with the OX500Plus?
Up to 8 minutes with its 0.5 litre of air at 200 bar. The real time depends on your breathing, the depth and the effort.
In the mouth or on the back: how do I choose?
In the mouth for a short job, as with the OX500. On the back, with the harness and external regulator, to keep your hands free under the hull or swim for longer.
How do you refill the OX500Plus?
With the manual pump (around 20 minutes), with the 12 V / 220 V mini compressor (around 12 minutes) or from a dive cylinder with the DIN or yoke transfer station (around 1 minute).
Does the OXAIR mask fit the OX500Plus?
Yes. The OXAIR mask fits the OX500Plus and the OX1000. At the surface you breathe through the snorkel, underwater the tank takes over.
Do I need a diving certification?
No. The OX500Plus is used without diver training, close to the surface, following the safety rules in our guide: breathe continuously, never hold your breath while ascending, ascend slowly.

The hybrid mask is great.

Already used and always satisfied. Perfect for snorkeling and short dives from the surface to explore or follow a fish. The automatic switch from the OXAIR mask’s snorkel to the tank’s air is amazing.

Works perfectly

I tested it in our pool, and it works. I filled it with my compressor. You need to get used to the breathing, but it’s a quick learning curve. Runtime is 5 to 8 minutes, depending on the person. Can’t wait to try it in Hawaii next month.

Good experience

My second mini tank. The first one was defective: a permanent leak, and it ended up on a shelf. The OXSEA one is the complete opposite: six uses in a few months, no leaks, no issues. I fill it with my compressor and get about 8 minutes. I couldn’t be more satisfied. I would buy again.
