Privacy policy

How your personal information is collected, used and shared when you visit the website or make a purchase on it.

Last updated: 3 October 2026

1. The information we collect

When you visit the website, we automatically collect certain technical information about your device: browser type, IP address, time zone, pages viewed. We call this "device information". It comes from the host's logs and, where applicable, from the storage described in the cookie policy.

When you make or attempt to make a purchase, we collect your name, billing address, shipping address, email address and, if you provide it, your phone number for the carrier. We call this "order information". Payment details (card number) are entered on the payment page hosted by Stripe: we never see them and do not store them.

When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, country if you give it, and the content of your message.

In this policy, "personal information" refers to all of the above.

2. How we use your information

Order information is used to fulfil your order: payment processing by Stripe, preparing and shipping the parcel, sending the confirmation, receipt and tracking number, issuing the invoice.

It is also used to communicate with you about your order, to screen for fraud risks, and to reply when you write to us.

Device information is used to run the website and keep it secure (in particular the IP address). With your consent given through the cookie banner, visits to the website are measured with Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited). No advertising pixel is active. The delivery town of a recent order may be shown on the website, without the customer's name.

We do not send marketing messages without your explicit consent.

3. Sharing your information

We share your personal information with the providers that allow us to process it as described above:

  • Stripe for secure payment (hosted checkout session). Privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.
  • Vercel for hosting the website and its technical logs. Privacy policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
  • Web3Forms, where applicable, to route contact form messages to our mailbox. Policy: web3forms.com/privacy.
  • OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation) for the stockist map background, loaded only when you open the map: your IP address is then sent to it. Policy: osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.
  • Carriers (pick-up point, home or express delivery) to deliver your parcel: name, address, email and, if given, phone number.

We may also share your information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a lawful request for information, or to protect our rights.

4. Cookies and local storage

The website only uses the storage it needs to work (cart, language, memory of your cookie choice). Stripe sets its own cookies on its payment page, needed for fraud prevention. Details, category by category, are in the cookie policy, where you can change your choice at any time.

5. Your rights

If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with your country's supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, write to contact@oxsea.com.

Your information may be transferred outside your country of residence, in particular to the United States where some of our providers are based, within the safeguards provided by regulation.

6. Data retention

Order information is kept for as long as needed to fulfil the order, honour the warranty and meet accounting and tax obligations, then deleted or archived. Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and keep a reasonable record. You can ask for their deletion at any time.

7. Minors

The website is not intended for people under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. The update date appears at the top of this page.

9. Contact us

For any question about our privacy practices or to lodge a complaint, write to contact@oxsea.com.
