  • Great on my boat

Lightweight, easy-to-carry mini-bottle. Great for my boat!!

  • The hybrid mask is great.

Already used and always satisfied. Perfect for snorkeling and short dives from the surface to explore or follow a fish. The automatic switch from the OXAIR mask’s snorkel to the tank’s air is amazing.

  • Works perfectly

I tested it in our pool, and it works. I filled it with my compressor. You need to get used to the breathing, but it’s a quick learning curve. Runtime is 5 to 8 minutes, depending on the person. Can’t wait to try it in Hawaii next month.

  • Good experience

My second mini tank. The first one was defective: a permanent leak, and it ended up on a shelf. The OXSEA one is the complete opposite: six uses in a few months, no leaks, no issues. I fill it with my compressor and get about 8 minutes. I couldn’t be more satisfied. I would buy again.

  • 3rd purchase

This is not my first purchase. The whole family has several. Enough said. Perfect for snorkeling and having a backup air supply for quick dives. Easy to use, no issues. My son loves it with the full-face mask. Durable equipment.

  • A great gift

Given to a marine biologist: she’s delighted. The kit comes complete, ready for the mini-dive.

  • No issues.

Easy setup. Fills in about 10 minutes using the compressor. Runtime of 15 to 20 minutes, depending on air flow and your breathing. Easy to use, reliable equipment. Excellent purchase, I recommend it.

« My dad loves sailing so I got him this for one of his trips. Not only did he use it to scuba dive in the middle of the ocean, he also used it to fix the engine while in the middle of nowhere. This can make trips better or be a life saver! »

  • Under the hull
« Have used the system for a year. Carry it on my sailboat. Is great for short trips under the boat. No problem getting refilled at local dive shop. »

  • Refilling
« It was a quality product. Works extremely well. No problems at all. I would recommend purchasing a high pressure electric pump which I did the hand pump works but would only use in a pinch. It takes a long time and effort to fill the tank. With it electric pump only about 6 minutes. I use it for work in my in ground pool and under my boat. Gives you about 15 minutes underwater maybe a bit more. Over all I recommend it. »

  • At anchor
« This tank is great for when I need to do mooring maintenance. I'm able to use this tank and regulator to dive in 10-15' of water for 10-15 minutes without issue. »

  • In the pool
« Bought this for my son to use in the pool. He gets about 8 - 9 minutes of air per full tank. That's only if he didn't take any break. He loves it so much that we bought a second tank to extend the time. »

  • Spearfishing
« I am impressed by this small tank. It appears to be very well made. It is easy to assemble. The directions tell you what to do should their be a small air leak, that would be easy to fix. This is a great addition to any divers gear set up. I spearfish, which means I am not always near my fellow divers. »

Mini scuba tank: is it dangerous?

It is used close to the surface. The main risk is the ascent: three rules are enough to avoid it.

Read the safety guide
  1. Breathe continuously

Inhale and exhale normally, never hold your breath.

  2. Never hold your breath while ascending

As you rise, the air in your lungs expands: breathe out gently all the way up.

  3. Ascend slowly

Never faster than the small air bubbles rising around you.

Compressed air, not oxygen

Our tanks hold the air you breathe, compressed to high pressure (200 bar for the OX500, OX500Plus and OX1000). People often say “oxygen tank”, but pure oxygen is dangerous when diving: a mini scuba tank is filled with air.

Your questions about mini scuba tanks

Up to 8 minutes with a 0.5 L tank (OX500 and OX500Plus), about 15 minutes with the 1 L OX1000 and 20 to 25 minutes with the 2.3 L OX2000. The real figure depends on your breathing, the depth and the effort.

Three ways: with the manual pump (about 20 minutes for 0.5 L, not compatible with the OX1000), with the 12 V / 220 V compressor (about 12 minutes for 0.5 L, 20 minutes for 1 L, longer for the OX2000) or from a dive cylinder with the DIN or yoke transfer station, in about a minute.

Our tanks are used without diver training, close to the surface. The safety rules still apply: breathe continuously, never hold your breath while ascending, ascend slowly. Our safety guide covers them in detail.

Same 0.5 L volume and same air time. The OX500Plus adds a harness, an external regulator and an external gauge: you wear it on your back, hands free, or in the mouth. Both take the OXAIR mask.
